The 2025 Cuisine Good Food Awards once again celebrated the creativity, passion, and hospitality excellence that make New Zealand’s dining scene one of the best in the world. At DineSocial, we’re proud to acknowledge some of the outstanding restaurants and people we love to work with, who were recognised this year.
✨ Mark Gregory – Legend Award
A true powerhouse of inspiration and mentorship, Mark was honoured with the Cuisine Legend Award. In his humble style, he reminded us all of what really matters: “I don’t have a speech prepared, but if you can, this Christmas please support DineAid.” DineAid raises funds for the City Mission through its restaurant partners each December, and Mark continues to be its driving force.
✨ Farina – Ponsonby
One of the best Italian restaurants in Auckland, Farina continues to impress. Led by the tireless Sergio Maglione, this Ponsonby favourite is a knockout example of authentic Italian dining in New Zealand.
✨ Craggy Range – Winery Restaurant of the Year
A huge congratulations to the team at Craggy Range, who secured 3 Hats and took home the Winery Restaurant of the Year title. Their Hawke’s Bay dining experience is consistently recognised as one of the best winery restaurants in New Zealand.
✨ Nick Honeyman – Global Champion
From Paris Butter in Herne Bay to Le Petit Léon in France, Nick continues to showcase New Zealand’s culinary talent on the world stage. His work across borders makes him a true global champion for our dining culture.
✨ Amisfield – Restaurant of the Year
Congratulations to Amisfield for being named Restaurant of the Year. Their team continues to achieve a level of excellence that is now widely acknowledged on the world stage. We’re excited to welcome the Amisfield wine team back to Winetopia, where they’ll showcase their incredible range once again.
✨ Spiga – Two Hats
A big round of applause to Spiga, who picked up a second coveted Hat this year. Fabrizio, Taryne, and the team thoroughly deserve this recognition of their fantastic work. We look forward to enjoying their food at Winetopia — if not before!
✨ Nanam – Guide Recognition
We’re thrilled to see Nanam listed again in this year’s Cuisine Good Food Guide. Their vibrant, Philippine-inspired cuisine has made them a crowd favourite, and we can’t wait to welcome them back to Winetopia this year.
👏 Plus, a big shout out to all the incredible New Zealand restaurants who have retained their hats this year and earned their place in the Cuisine Good Food Guide 2025.
Finally, none of this would be possible without the incredible work of Kelli Brett and Kerry Tyack, who continue to stage an event that brings together so many of the brightest stars in the hospitality industry.
Here’s to another year of celebrating the passion, talent, and community that make New Zealand’s restaurant scene truly world-class.
